Light in the Dark

Night after night I would search for the Sun
Forgot that it is not found in the blanket of stars
I hide away during the day to rest from this quest
Unaware to understand the hidden irony at it’s best

Waiting for someone without knowing I am
To open my eyes and let me see my own mistake
Unknown to me that many have come to do so
The memory of these events lost in the abyss below

Is it really a case of having more order in life?
Or am I to try harder and let go of my handmade strife?
Perhaps the questions are meant to announce their end
So then I open my eyes to the truth that I subtly ignore

That the world has been trying to help me
In ways beyond my current comprehension
