Air and Thought

Air and Thought

Wide and open is the sky with stars at night
Guiding the travellers to the new found rite
As the darkness gives way to the flames above
So would the day bring the Sun full of love

Unable to understand the true significance of meaning
Nor is the perception of what is evil striking
Why would anyone delve in such matters truly?
When the passage through the forest is seen as holy?

Marriages between the beyond and the earth suffice
To bring forth a new understanding of what is right
Better not linger here in the depths of one’s thought
The world is waiting for you, you as a whole

Where the realms of the clouds and the seas are united as one

Beyond

Beyond

Far away in the distant seas I have found you
With the hair made with emeralds weaving through
Your eyes can see for miles and only smile with gold
In a manner which only a silent poem can be told

We went through the beaches of ivory and clay
Taught ourselves how to build cities and play
Nothing felt as welcoming as your everlasting presence
The universe bowing down to this present instance

As the sun starts to set I know you have to return
To the sea which brought to me and I beg you to learn
That in every corner of the world there is bound a promise
That sun will rise again, and I will again see you smile

With open arms I welcome you where I stand

Luminous

Luminous

Late in the day, yet on time for the night
When the sun gives way to its family to shine
A star-lit sky that stretches to the infinite
And here I am with you, gazing in wonder

How many stars have we counted? We do not know
Yet we found one another free on this world to roam
At this time and place made sacred between us two
As I get to swim with you the vast oceans blue

Some say that it is not possible to find such an emotion
That it is not bound to the world in constant motion
Yet all it takes is one moment without hesitation
To find oneself in an ethereal incantation

Where you and I are together as one

Found

Found

Somewhere in the woods I was found
Amongst the trees and yet outside
In their world but still not within
Of the world and in a sense still foreign

Here when I meet others I give them shelter
For some journeys are longer, harder, maybe simpler
I listen to their stories and offer companionship
In a world weighed thoroughly with needless hardship

Yet who am I? Where am I?
The sky reaches above me as the stars dance
The fire beside me crackles in a rhythmic trance
It is then that I find myself at home

Here and now, while being with you

Mirages of the Past

Mirages of the Past

A prison made of words and a key made of gold
Is all I have ever known and had to behold
And when from one cell I am taken to another
I find a chance to talk to other fallen brothers

They mention how the Summer sun is warm and the sky pale
That the Autumn leaves are of crimson shades and pile like hay
How the rain in Winter mimics the sorrow in their hearts
And Spring brings life back again to the countryside larks

Yet little did I know why they were there to tell me this
As if waiting for me to be put with them in the broken stasis
How far had I had to go to learn the curious truth
That they were a mirage of me of when I was more than true

As if we meet ourselves again and again till we are at home

Light in the Dark

Light in the Dark

Night after night I would search for the Sun
Forgot that it is not found in the blanket of stars
I hide away during the day to rest from this quest
Unaware to understand the hidden irony at it’s best

Waiting for someone without knowing I am
To open my eyes and let me see my own mistake
Unknown to me that many have come to do so
The memory of these events lost in the abyss below

Is it really a case of having more order in life?
Or am I to try harder and let go of my handmade strife?
Perhaps the questions are meant to announce their end
So then I open my eyes to the truth that I subtly ignore

That the world has been trying to help me
In ways beyond my current comprehension
