Praise

Praise

Letting go of the thread that kept me safe
Falling in the world beyond this cliff
Finding that the end was nowhere in sight
That I then found wings and I took off in flight

For what happens has been meant to happen
From the dawn of time, a mystery not mine
As the grand designer of the world sits smiling
At our world going forward to his planning

Why then do we see the world as misfortune?
Why not as an opportunity rather than dismay?
In a world where we are beset by thunder and rain
Call forth your courage and see it as a deifying praise

In the form of a golden blaze

Starlight Wonder

Starlight Wonder

Stars that seem to know each other, glowing together
In the infinite they accompany one another, as if forever
How many lessons would we get to learn from them?
If we spent a night watching them in silent wonder?

We sometimes forget that we too are starshine in unison
Part of the universe, one with the grand explosion
Not discernible from it or any other, an awe in infinitesimal
Why do we still disagree then and not be lost in affection?

For even if we are dust so is the dust not superficial
As many come to put dismay on this untold miracle
Putting away the truth to make another real is a trick not infallible
Come join the dance of the stars, we’re children bound by the impossible

As we live in an otherwise reality of chance seemingly unreal

Fondly

Fondly

Flames that found their fodder in reality
As fantasy is given life, forms are given fire
Fervour and fury from the skies above falling
Why have we abandoned reason without failing?

Is it so subtle to substitute away the absurd with this reality?
But is it not tiring to sense the treason? To live in a transition
To breath is at times the most simple form of a person’s freedom
And to look into your eyes is perhaps a gift, even if it is momentary

Yet it is of no reason to be caught in this wave of senselessness
A moment once whole is now made away as a world distant
Live here and now my friend, in the present, hand in hand
The universe is beheld by your mind, see it smile

And let the stars wish on your tries

By your eyes

By your eyes

Standing where once laid crystalline effigies
So well crafted to be venerable, mystical
Even though they fell and tumbled
They still showed me a world so humble

As the times changed and stone made its way
The world stood still at what could be made
For a different world wasn’t known back then
Other than the cruel, foregone and disliked

So then which world is the greatest?
The one of the factual or the imaginary?
For isn’t the world what one imagines it to be?
And so is it why everyone is asking that of me?

Strangeness and mystery abound forever
For who sees the world differently
Plays with the colours so fruitfully
For who can measure it in a new way completely

Perhaps it is not the usual to be said
What the world is and what it ought to be
Governed by laws of the mind and who is to see
Yet every now and then, a measurement comes surprisingly

Now that the world is somehow expecting
All in a hurry, always seemingly playing
With each player on the board waiting
For the last dance of our eyes now star gazing

At the world above watching us below

Lighthouse

Lighthouse

Same as solitude, different that the Sun
How could things have revolved around the one?
To be taken away ever so slowly in a trance
Not knowing it was simply an unearthly dance

As light came back to me in more than one way
I realize that it was more than an unwelcome play
To not follow the northern winds on a voyage to stay
A mark on the stone cleaved for a time now away

How could the seas bring forth such waves?
Perhaps it is more to ask for a keep that stays
When tempest pummel the shores with their rage
A lighthouse would stand tall with a solemn vow

To not let the wary vessels lose again their way

Realisations

Realisations

Breathing for you, living as a Sun that shines truth
Wishing only that the world would come down too
In this fantasy where vessels sway with the winds
A dream where thoughts converge in a balance of friends

Softer is the calmness of the ground beneath there Earth
In a realm far from these candid clouds that are up here
We seek one another for the love we solemnly bring
But it is the stone that makes us who we really are

Letting go of the events that have sent us to these heights
Away from the wars and toils of every common try
Far from who are lost with the waves of the times
Yet perhaps we can learn more from our once a family tie

That there is more than the Sun, the sea and the sky
