Red Moon
Memories that come presented in ornamental coal
A vestige of purpose meant to take me whole
Where fear becomes a vice that grips its hold on me
As my reality is taken away and I am no longer free
Fodder to the fire that once laid harmless is now ablaze
Tearing through my consciousness leaving me in a daze
It is not a voice that criticizes me to my own dismay
But an entire reality where I am guilty wherever I lay
As I am consumed and turned to black tar ashes
With winds scattering me in every direction
Maybe sometime I can learn to be more truthful
To not let the devil’s dance leaving me doubtful
And thus not let go of the life I have for myself
