Untold Redemption

Fields of gold on my way to a resting place
Far from the tribulations of man and his hidden aces
Somewhere where my soul is free from judgement
Maybe then I am let go from reaching an accomplishment

Carrying a chain around my chest keeping me captive
For all that I have done to a world unresponsive
Unable to have a say in this condemning decision
Why would they even listen? It was all but a closed lesson

Somehow I still wander towards a sunrise
A place to take me away from the insurmountable
In time I hope I can be given a chance to be able
To show my worth in the world of man

From whom I seem to have taken so much
