Beyond

Far away in the distant seas I have found you
With the hair made with emeralds weaving through
Your eyes can see for miles and only smile with gold
In a manner which only a silent poem can be told

We went through the beaches of ivory and clay
Taught ourselves how to build cities and play
Nothing felt as welcoming as your everlasting presence
The universe bowing down to this present instance

As the sun starts to set I know you have to return
To the sea which brought to me and I beg you to learn
That in every corner of the world there is bound a promise
That sun will rise again, and I will again see you smile

With open arms I welcome you where I stand
