Golden Skies
Crown the willing and lead them to the throne
Let gold make them of fire, their fervour to never tire
Give the standing a means to be true
For it is the way of the forgiving few
While the days pass and become centuries
Our lifelines become part of one another’s history
We come into this world bearing gifts of diamonds
Their value indescribable, their touch insurmountable
For who tries to be more than who he is?
Is one not defying the will that made him this?
In a world where the golden bulls are burnt to ashes
Let the rain quench the thirst of the valiant heroes and heroines
Those who march on in the quest of faith and meaning
