Starlight Wonder

Stars that seem to know each other, glowing together
In the infinite they accompany one another, as if forever
How many lessons would we get to learn from them?
If we spent a night watching them in silent wonder?

We sometimes forget that we too are starshine in unison
Part of the universe, one with the grand explosion
Not discernible from it or any other, an awe in infinitesimal
Why do we still disagree then and not be lost in affection?

For even if we are dust so is the dust not superficial
As many come to put dismay on this untold miracle
Putting away the truth to make another real is a trick not infallible
Come join the dance of the stars, we’re children bound by the impossible

As we live in an otherwise reality of chance seemingly unreal
